Below are teaching strategies that can be applied to most workshops, but specifically help during Calculus/math workshops.

• Start each workshop by going over concepts of lecture material from that week
• Ask students to bring up any topics/webwork questions they may be confused on
• As you go through the workshop emphasize places in each concept that students make common mistakes on exams
• When it comes time for the exam, ask students if a review session would help or compile a document of all the lecture summaries from the workshops and send that out
  • promote using YouTube videos for helps on topics that are still confusing to them
• If you are able, stay after workshop for 10-15 minutes to answer any questions they may have that don’t specifically regard the workshop
• During the workshop, encourage students to private message you with any questions and then anonymously go over them as a whole group
